Tiger in the Lead at the Tour Championship.. back where he needs to be

Eldrick Woods, looking ahead. Not in his rearview though.

I know a lot of people out there think of golf like they do soccer, both sports I particularly enjoy because of their own special nuances, but most people find them boring. "How can you watch golf? That ish is super boring." Wrong. Golf is one of the oldest sports in existence and it's probably one of the most difficult. It is the definition of a specialty sport, and to be a pro, you have to be completely unreal. Most people can name a few golfers, but every single person in the United States knows Tiger Woods. If you find someone who says they've never heard of him, run, they're probably a serial killer or a cannibal. The guy is literally has been the symbol for his sport for the past 15 years and he could still very well be the best of all time when all is said and done.

Over the last few years, Tiger has been hit a rough patch, with no major victories to add to his impressive tally of 14.  4 behind the "Golden Bear," Jack Nicklaus. Tiger being back at the top of the leaderboard is just about the best thing for golf at the moment next to the new phenom Rory Mcilroy, who by the way has every chance to be as good or better than Tiger. Hate him or Love him, if Tiger's in the lead, people are gonna watch on Sundays. The people want to see Tiger dominate or they want to see if he'll collapse, which has happened I think exactly once when he was downed by South Korean great Y.E Yang at the 2009 PGA Championship. Now that Tee Dub and Rahry have this new budding rivalry, there's a new reason to watch. Back when Jack and Arnie Palmer (great beverage, great golfer, only fitting) were battling for supremacy every week, golf was huge, and this twosome could definitely catapult golf's ratings. If Tiger hangs on and wins the Tour Championship, and wins the Fed Ex Cup, he'll be officially back and the only thing left is to get back on the major train.

PS. Arnold Palmer literally kills life, dude tees off at the Masters once a year, sells 99 cent drinks and makes 10 mill a year. That is the definition of winning.

PPS. There is actually no better deal than an Arizona Iced Tea, maybe some crazy bodega juice that's like a dime, but that probably has rat piss in it or something weird. Only way to go is Arizona, any other drink is really just irresponsible.
