Sanctions in Kentucky's future?

A probe of Kentucky's recruitment of Nerlens Noel, the top high school player for the class of 2012, is being launched by the NCAA. This comes just days after news broke of a similar investigation of UCLA's recruitment of number two recruit Shabazz Muhammad. Kentucky coach John Calipari stated after last season's championship run, that he has no intention of leaving the school. He also sail that Kentucky was his dream job, and that was where he belonged. In the pas,t there have been recruiting violations associated with Calipari. However, he conveniently left both universities, UMass and Memphis, just before a punishment was dealt. This would be the third time something of this nature has happened under Calipari's guidance, and based on what he stated a few months ago, he should be sitting this one through.

I for one hope there are no violations. I am not sure if this is about the recruiting process itself, or if it has to do with Noel receiving benefits from an outside source. I'm not a fan of coach Cal or Kentucky, but I'd hate to see something happen that could possibly tarnish what he and his players have done of late. Remember, Memphis had to vacate their Final Four berth in 2009 after the illegal recruitment process of Derrick Rose. At the same time, if coach Cal did violate the rules, I believe he should be penalized pretty harshly in order to ensure this doesn't happen again. If this is an issue of Noel taking money from boosters or something of that sort, then I think this whole thing is bologna. The kid's got a family to feed. Keep doin' you youngin.
