Looks like Big Mike got a little too crunk in the A last night following the Falcons big win over the Broncos. "The Burner," got burned by the law on this one, as he was pulled over for doing his best Akon impression by driving 97 MPH in a 65 MPH speed zone. Turner was arrested for DUI and speeding at 5 AM and spent two hours in jail before posting bail at $2,179.This is something you hate to see and can't happen if you consider yourself a professional. Whatever a player does reflects his team and organization. Now everyone knows what goes on after victories in Atlanta. The big time guys go out and party until 5 o'clock in the morning. Turner probably ruined it for everyone now. The curfews will be a lot more strict and Turner will probably face repercussions from both the team and the league.
One Last Thing: If this was Roddy White, I would understand it, but Mike Turner?! What are you celebrating? He literally ran for 16 yards on 11 carries. He better have been there buying everyone else drinks because they won the game, not him. I watched him take 3 carries in order to gain 1 yard for a touchdown. 1! I have Turner on my fantasy team, in both leagues, don't ask me why. But this is why I draft QB's like Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady, real clubhouse guys. Hopefully they can pull Turner aside and keep this an internal issue as we go on.
